Environmental Leaders Endorse Kurt
Today Kurt accepted the joint endorsement of the Oregon League of Conservation Voters (OLCV) and the League of Conservation Voters (LCV).
“I am honored to have the support of our state and national environmental community,” Schrader said. “Whether it’s our landmark bottle bill or aggressive commitment toward renewable energy, Oregon has a legacy of environmental stewardship. I have fought to continue that legacy by fighting to reduce our carbon footprint and increasing our research into clean, renewable sources of energy. I’m excited to take our Oregon successes to Washington D.C.,” continued Schrader.
“Kurt Schrader has been a driving force for Oregon's efforts to curb global warming and move towards a clean energy future,” LCV President Gene Karpinski said. “We look forward to the day Kurt Schrader brings that leadership to Washington.”
The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) is turning environmental values into national priorities. To secure the environmental future of our planet, LCV’s mission is to advocate for sound environmental policies and to elect pro-environmental candidates who will adopt and implement such policies.
"Kurt Schrader has been a key leader in promoting renewable energy and protecting Oregon from disastrous land use policies," OLCV Executive Director Jonathan Poisner said."He has been an invaluable ally and partner in Oregon and we are excited to continue our partnership when he represents Oregon in the United States Congress."
OLCV is a non-partisan organization dedicated to informing and educating voters about environmental issues. They have over 3,000 members throughout Oregon and are lead by a volunteer board of directors.
