Our country is currently battling through one of the worst economic periods in recent memory. Kurt has the experience we need to govern during difficult times as well as a real Plan for Economic Recovery.

Kurt's Experience

As a farmer, veterinarian and small businessman, Kurt Schrader has been a leader in our community for 20 years - working hard for his neighbors and standing up for what is most important for our future.

From 1997 to 2003, Kurt served as a State Representative. Since 2003, he's been a State Senator, serving as Oregon's budget chief.

He fought successfully to:

• Support education from pre-K through higher education, personally delivering record levels of funding for our schools;

• Reform health care to make it accessible, affordable and of the highest quality;

• Find the balance that protects Oregon’s scenic heritage and our vital natural resources and agricultural economy.
